Aliagha Abasov is originally from Azerbaijan and graduated from the Faculty of Japanese Language and Literature at Azerbaijan University of Languages. After completing his undergraduate studies, he came to Japan as a recipient of the prestigious Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship, continuing his academic journey at Nanzan University and Nagoya University.
During his five years in Japan, he gained valuable firsthand experience with Japan’s exceptionally high standards of quality, integrity in business practices, and its strong culture of building long-term relationships. These experiences shaped his professional vision and deepened his understanding of the potential for cooperation between Japan and Azerbaijan.
Recognizing Azerbaijan’s strategic geopolitical position, rich tourism resources, and dynamic human capital, he founded AKI LAND Co., Ltd. with the goal of bridging the gaps in information, culture, and business practices between the two countries.
AKI LAND aims to create a sustainable model of cooperation that begins with tourism and expands into meaningful business collaboration. The company does more than translate language—it translates cultural context and decision-making perspectives, helping increase the success rate of investment, trade, and human exchange.
Through this mission, AKI LAND seeks to transform the potential of both nations into long-term, sustainable partnerships and serve as a bridge connecting people and businesses between Japan and Azerbaijan.
